Classifying Networks by Geography

Wide area network (WAN):

It interconnects geographically dispersed locations for example office in one city to office in another city.
We can understand it through a simple example:




















we put cloud in the middle and this cloud represents service providers cloud.
For network connection in WAN we are gonna use something like lightening bolt.














It's speed is less then LAN speed. Different sites connect to a service provider's cloud.
